It all started many years ago, when my mom wanted to make cute cakes for our birthdays. She took the Wilton courses at Michaels (I'm sure a lot of you have as well!), which peaked my interest in cake decorating. I was just 14 when I signed up for those Wilton courses myself, fun fact - I was the only kid there!
Later on I found out about Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionery Arts. I signed up in 2013 (and was again the youngest one there at 18). In 2014 my parents opened up a bakery and that's where my professional journey started. A year later in 2015, SK Confectionery was born, it's been almost 6 years now wow! It's been quite a journey with many ups and downs, I have so many stories that I'm excited to share with you.
After many requests, I finally decided to teach in person classes in 2017. Ever since then I haven't looked back. Each year I've done a number of classes, from beginner basics to advance wedding cake classes. I also received a lot of interest from around the world asking for online course. I never thought about it until 2020, when covid hit and the world changed as we know it. In late 2020 I launched SK Cake Design Academy, which will be the home of online cake design courses and exclusive in person group classes. I'm so very excited for this sweet new chapter in my life! See you on the inside!
